Free hikes at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park were a part of the national First Day Hikes program.

Man shot to death in Pleasant Valley

PLEASANT VALLEY (AP) — Authorities are investigating the shooting death of a 23-year-old man in Clay County.

The Kansas City Star reported that the man was found shot to death late Friday in Pleasant Valley. The victim's name hasn't been released.

Police said they've interviewed a person of interest, but no charges have been filed.
