State Fair patrons make almost two times as many calls for help

SEDALIA - A public information officer for the Missouri State Fair Fire Department said Saturday they've received almost twice as many calls for help than this time last year.

Columbia Public Schools hosts Jump Start Day before school year

Suzuki gets 4,192nd career hit in majors, Japan

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Ichiro Suzuki singled in the first inning for his 4,192nd career hit in the major leagues and Japan, passing Ty Cobb's total that ranks second in history.
