Jon Jay, Cardinals agree to 2-year contract

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Outfielder Jon Jay and the St. Louis Cardinals have avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to a two-year contract worth $10,975,000.

Jay gets a $1.25 million signing bonus under Monday's agreement, $3.5 million this year and $6,225,000 in 2016.

COLUMBIA - Seven different Mizzou gymnasts recorded career bests on Sunday for a combined nine personal records as the gymnastics team won 194.550-193.675 over the Lindenwood Lions at the Hearnes Center.

COLUMBIA - After losing two players to suspension, Missouri fell to the Texas A&M Aggies 83-61.

MU now has lost nine straight conference games, which is the longest streak in school history. The Tigers are now 7-16 overall and last in the SEC with a conference record of 1-9.
