Mini Law School for the Public

Event Date: 10/18/2017
Location: Missouri River Regional Library, 214 Adams Street, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Start Time: 7:00 PM
End Time: 9:00 PM
Description: • What is it? A series of exceptionally interesting sessions that will provide practical information about the laws that affect our daily lives. • Why attend? Our legal system and laws are designed as a framework to help us live in an increasingly complex world. Unless you understand the legal framework our society is built on, it is difficult to gain the full benefit of the law. • Is it really like law school? The lectures have been prepared especially for adults who are not lawyers. You’ll be learning from some of the best legal minds in the state. You won’t be tested, but you will come away with a better understanding of our laws, how they work and how we arrived at them. • Who will be teaching this school? The course is taught by practicing attorneys, law professors and judges who have distinguished themselves in their careers. The presenters have volunteered their time and expertise to improve understanding of our legal system. • Where are the classes held? The lectures series are currently held in St. Louis County, Cape Girardeau, Mid-Missouri, Springfield and Malden. • What are the classes like? Haven’t participated before or simply want a refresher on some of the extensive topics we’ve covered? Then check out our Mini Law School for the Public podcasts and videos!
