AUXVASSE - Callaway County deputies detained a 13-year-old student Friday for allegedly making a threat against Auxvasse Elementary school.
The Callaway County Sheriff's Office posted on its Facebook page over the weekend that the elementary school's administration notified the sheriff's office about the threat.

COLUMBIA - Columbia’s largest indoor garage sale brought people from far and wide with over 60 vendors in the Columbia Expo Center.
The garage sale opened its doors at just after noon on Sunday and already had a line of several hundred people waiting outside the door.

COLUMBIA - Having a healthy heart was a lesson for people of all ages on Saturday.
People attending “Be Mine for A Little While Longer!” learned health tips to prevent a stroke and what to do if a friend or family member is having one. Some of the tips included not smoking, taking the stairs instead of the elevator and wearing comfortable shoes.
13-year-old taken into custody for threatening social media post

COLUMBIA - Columbia police have taken a 13-year-old male into custody Saturday in connection with a social media post community members perceived as threatening.
On Friday evening, Columbia police officers were notified of a social media post that seemed to threaten a middle school in the Columbia Public School system. Police identified who posted the message and contacted his parents, who cooperated with the investigation. The investigation revealed there was no credible threat.
