    COLUMBIA - After an armed robbery at Deco to Retro and Vintage Clothing on the Business Loop June 15, Columbia Police have a suspect.

    CPD released four surveillance photos of the suspect on its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon.

    COLE COUNTY - The Cole County Sheriff's Department and the MUSTANG Drug Task Force seized 14 pounds of marijuana, four guns, $14,000 in cash, a ballistic vest and other drug paraphernalia from a home Tuesday afternoon. 

    Two narcotic search warrants were served in the 2300 block of Schott Road in Cole County.

    JEFFERSON CITY - The Jefferson City Parks and Recreation Department could see some major changes in authority if a recommendation goes through next week. 

    The Jefferson City Charter Review Advisory Committee recommended three potential changes in the city's charter to the Parks and Recreation commission.

    JEFFERSON CITY (AP) — An attorney suing former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens and his staffers says recently uncovered texts show two former employees used a message-deleting app to communicate about state policy.

    Screenshots show former deputy legislative directors Brad Green and Jeff Earl texted about talking points on a prescription drug monitoring policy, The Kansas City Star reported.

    COLUMBIA- A study conducted by an MU professor shows sensitive medical information could be put in the wrong hands without people knowing.

    MU associate law professor Sam Halabi encourages people to be aware of the potential risks that come from putting their medical information on social media and using medical apps. Halabi released an article arguing current laws put too many consumers' sensitive medical information at risk.

    COLUMBIA - MU hosted a summit on Wednesday to discuss ideas about a new research building with the other UM campuses.

    In December 2017, UM System Board of Curators approved the $250 million Translational Precision Medicine Complex where researchers will conduct their studies.

    ELDON - Police in Eldon arrested a suspect Wednesday for an assault at a barber shop. 

    Officers responded to the assault at J&M's Magic Razor Wednesday. The suspect ran from the scene, but witnesses told police they knew who he was, according to a press release.

    Columbia Police officers said they were investigating a domestic assault case, and the suspect ran off.
