COLUMBIA - Missouri football junior defensive end Nate Howard was arrested by MUPD Monday night after failing to appear in court for a speeding offense in Montgomery County.

Howard was released after paying the $121 bail.

Howard had already been suspended following an arrest in June for charges including possession of a controlled substance. His preliminary hearing in that case has been set for an Aug. 24.

In his freshman and sophomore seasons, Howard totaled 15 tackles, 2.5 for loss.
