Two arrested following investigation of Mark Twain High School bomb threatPosted on 5 October 2017 at 11:38pm
NEW LONDON - Personnel from the Ralls County Sheriff's Office and surrounding agencies responded to the Mark Twain High School campus on Highway 19 for a reported bomb threat on Monday.
First responders worked diligently with school administration to safely evacuate students. Bomb detection dogs were brought in and determined the threat was a hoax after a thorough sweep of the building.
According to a press release from the Ralls County Sheriff's Office, an 18-year-old male of Quincy, IL and a 15-year-old juvenile of New London were arrested and charged with making a false bomb report.
The investigation is ongoing and further information will be released when available and appropriate.
