Skating Sedalia carhop places third in national competitionPosted on 6 October 2017 at 3:13pm
SEDALIA - A carhop from mid-Missouri skated into third place at the national Sonic Skate-Off Competition.
Devin Berry earned a bronze medal and a $500 prize at the annual skating competition that included the top Sonic carhops from across the United States. He was among the top five finalists who competed last month in Oklahoma City.
Berry has worked at a Sonic on South Limit Drive in Sedalia for two years. He began skating when he was 5 years old, according to a press release.
“When people think of Sonic Drive-In, they think of our iconic skating carhops,” said Diane Prem, vice president of operations services at Sonic. “The annual Skate-Off competition is a fun way for Sonic to recognize and create some friendly competition among our talented carhops.”
KOMU 8 News previously reported on Berry when he was chosen as a national finalist.
