COLUMBIA - The Boone County Prosecutor's Office filed more charges Wednesday against a man arrested for two robberies in October.

Tony Davis, 51, now faces two counts of robbery and one count each of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon for the robberies.

The first happened on October 6 on East Walnut Street, where a man told police Davis took his phone, wallet, and cash at gunpoint.

The second robbery happened on October 16 at the Food Bank on Big Bear Boulevard, where the victim told police he'd given Davis a ride. When the victim asked Davis for gas money, he said Davis got mad and started punching him before stealing his phone and running away.

Police found Davis on the Bear Creek Trail near Providence Road on October 26 with two phones, including the phone of the victim in the Food Bank robbery. They arrested him on suspicion of robbery.

On November 21, the victim in the Walnut Street robbery identified his phone as the other one Davis had at the time of his arrest. Officers arrested Davis again at the Boone County Jail, this time on suspicion of robbery, armed criminal action, and unlawful use of a weapon.
