Tigers lose nailbiter late to LSUPosted on 18 February 2018 at 9:11pm
BATON ROUGE, LA - The Missouri Tigers men's basketball team entered Saturday's game against the Tigers from Louisiana on an SEC high five game winning streak, including their last two on the road.
But shooting 57 percent on three pointers was not enough to overcome shooting 41 percent from the free throw line and 45 percent from two-point range as they lost by a bucket or less for the third time this season.
After LSU's Tremont Waters hit a floater to take the lead with 20 seconds remaining, Kassius Robertson had two chances to win the game. He was first called for an offensive foul with 5.2 seconds to play, and missed a floater after Missouri stole the inbounds pass as time expired.
Missouri's 12 made three's marked the 16th time this season they have made at least 10 in a game, led by Jordan Barnett's career tying six made three's in a game.
Missouri's next game is Tuesday against Ole Miss at 8 p.m. The Rebels are 4-10 in SEC play this season and lost to Missouri at home 75-69 February 6th.
