Missouri women's basketball continues climb in rankingsPosted on 19 February 2018 at 4:38pm
COLUMBIA - Missouri women's basketball continued its climb in the AP rankings Monday, moving up from No. 13 to No. 11.
The only other conference teams ahead of Missouri in the rankings are No. 7 South Carolina and No. 2 Mississippi State.
The move comes two days after Missouri toppled then No. 11 Tennessee, improving its conference record to 10-4. Sophie Cunningham led Missouri's offense, tallying her second 30-plus point game of the season, coming in just shy of her career-high of 35 points.
The team tied last year's victory total and now looks ahead to the SEC and NCAA Tournaments. ESPN bracketology projects Missouri to be a three seed in the tournament, hosting Drake in the first round.
Up next, Missouri will play its last home game of the season versus Vanderbilt on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m.
