1st Heat-Related Death Confirmed in Kansas City
KANSAS CITY (AP) - Kansas City health officials have confirmed the first heat-related death of the year in Missouri.
The Kansas City Health Department said Friday that a woman born in 1947 died of heat-related causes. The department also says that the Jackson County medical examiner is investigating the death of a man born in 1971 as possibly heat-related.
Officials declined to provide any details about the deaths.
