ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two people are dead after being shot Monday afternoon near the historic Old Courthouse in downtown St. Louis.
The shooting happened about 2:30 p.m. Monday at Fourth and Market, just a few blocks from Busch Stadium, hours before the Cardinals were hosting the Los Angeles Dodgers in a playoff game.
Police say three people were shot. The third person was struck in the ankle and expected to survive. Names of the victims have not been released.
The victims were inside a car at a stop light when another vehicle with several men inside pulled up alongside and fired multiple shots. A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
