2 in custody after Missouri shooting death, standoff
INDEPENDENCE (AP) — A standoff that started after police found a fatally wounded man ended with two arrests in suburban Kansas City.
The Kansas City Star reported the victim was found late Thursday and rushed to a hospital, where he died.
Officers tracked two suspects to an apartment building. Police said one person surrendered, but the other refused, leading to the standoff. The second person was taken into custody around 3:25 a.m. Friday.
No other details were immediately released, including the names of the victims.
