2 killed in Miller County plane crash
MILLER COUNTY — A Breechcraft single-engine plane crashed in a wooded area near the Lee C. Fine Airport in Brumley at approximately 3:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Both occupants of the aircraft were pronounced dead at the scene by Miller County Coroner Rick Callahan. Bruce Hensler, 56, and Sarah M. Hensler, 30, both of New Britain, Pennsylvania, were taken to a local funeral home. It is believed that Bruce Hensler was the pilot of the aircraft.
At this time, the origin and destination of the plane are unknown. Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration will be on scene Sunday to conduct a complete investigation.
Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Miller County Sheriff's Department and Osage Beach Police Department responded to the incident.
