2 suspects arrested in stolen vehicle stop
COLUMBIA — Boone County sheriff's deputies stopped a stolen vehicle on Interstate 70 Friday morning, arresting the car's driver and one passenger. After a search, deputies reported finding 1.5 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.
The driver, Ericka Williams, 27, is being held at the Boone County Jail for suspicion of tampering with a motor vehicle. The passenger, Kapplen Henderson, 36, is being held for suspicion of distribution/manufacturing/possession of a controlled substance. Henderson also faces a misdemeanor charge of tampering with a motor vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped near Providence Road after being recognized by a license plate reader. The vehicle had been reported stolen Feb. 8 from a rental company in Denver.
