2 Suspects in Custody After Wal-Mart Shooting
FESTUS, Mo. (AP) - Police say two suspects are in custody after a Tuesday afternoon shooting of a customer inside the restroom of a Jefferson County Wal-Mart.
The shooting occurred shortly before noon at the Festus Wal-Mart Supercenter on South Truman Boulevard. Crystal City Police Chief Jeff McCreary tells the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the victim's injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening.
The chief said the motive for the shooting was not clear. The store straddles the border of Festus and Crystal City. Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis told the newspaper that the suspect and the victim knew each other.
A spokeswoman for the Bentonville, Arkansas-based company said the store remains closed while the investigation continues.
