2 Suspects Plead Not Guilty in Mo. Couple's Death
FORSYTH, Mo. - Two Missouri men have pleaded not guilty in the deaths of a southwest Missouri couple.
Dusty Hicks and Tony Friend entered their pleas Thursday in Taney County Court. They are charged with murder and other counts in the deaths of 34-year-old Russell Porter and 46-year-old Rebecca Porter. Friend is from Springfield and Hicks is from Walnut Grove.
The Porters vanished from their home in Willard in Greene County in April 2011. Prosecutors say the suspects took the Porters to a rural area in Taney County, where they were killed execution style.
The Porters' remains were discovered in July 2011
KYTV-TV reports authorities have not commented on a possible motive. They also have said more people could be charged.
