2 Workers Hurt on I-70 Near St. Louis
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Two highway workers are recovering from minor injuries after their vehicle was struck on Interstate 70 in St. Louis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident happened at 2:18 a.m. Tuesday near the Hanley Road exit. The workers, ages 51 and 56 and both from St. Louis, were trying to pick up debris when their vehicle was struck from behind by a pickup truck.
The workers were taken by ambulance to a hospital with minor injuries. Both have since been released. The pickup driver also suffered minor injuries. It wasn't immediately clear if the pickup driver would face charges.
