SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) - Peter Bourjos, Hank Conger and Clay Fuller homered as the Los Angeles Angels beat the Kansas City Royals 14-6 Tuesday night.

The Royals, who ranked last in the American League in fielding last year, committed five errors, leading to six unearned runs.

Conger had three hits and drove in three runs. Fuller, a minor league outfielder, hit a grand slam in the eighth off left-hander Robert Fish. Chris Pettit had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs.

Royals starter Jeff Francis gave up six runs, three unearned, on six hits in five innings. Billy Butler and Alcides Escobar homered for Kansas City.
