45-Year-Old Mo. Man Charged with Poaching Deer

LEBANON, Mo. - A 45-year-old Lebanon man has been charged with poaching deer with a gun he wasn't legally supposed to own because he's a felon.
The Lebanon Daily Record reports that John Edward McGinnis the Third faces felony counts of unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.
McGinnis is a felon because he was convicted in 1998 of possession of a controlled substance.
McGinnis is jailed in Laclede County on a $150,000 cash-only bond. No court dates have been set. His attorney didn't immediately return a phone call.
