MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP)- Jared King's two-run single keyed a
five-run fifth inning for Kansas State and the Wildcats beat Oklahoma 6-2 on Sunday. Kansas State (18-12, 4-8 Big 12 Conference) won two out of three games in their weekend series with Oklahoma (24-8, 6-5). It was Kansas State's second-ever best-of-three series win over the Sooners in Big 12 play and its first since 2001. Oklahoma led 2-0 entering the fifth, but the Wildcats struck for five unearned runs against Dillon Overton (5-3), who committed a throwing error that opened the door for the Kansas State outburst. Overton struck out five and allowed four walks and two hits in 4 2/3 innings. Kansas State reliever Evan Marshall (3-3) allowed one
hit in 3 2/3 innings to pick up the win.
