COLUMBIA - Columbia Public Works is reporting that crews have cleared 90 percent of all roads in the city and that 1st and 2nd priority roads are plowed. Crews are still working on the last 10 percent of residential roads.
Downtown streets including parking spaces and garages are clear at this time. The city also has a seven person crew working tonight starting at 7 p.m. that will concentrate on intersections across town in preparation for another potential storm on Monday and Tuesday.
A full crew will start touching up high priority roads starting at 7 a.m. Sunday in preparation for another storm as well.
Columbia Public Works says clean-up crews exceeded their goal and will get to all residential roads before Sunday.
Crews worked 24 hours a day since Friday to make Columbia streets passable.
