A Reminder to Royals Fans: Eastbound I-70 Exit to Stadium Has Changed
KANSAS CITY - MoDOT has moved the eastbound I-70 ramp to Kauffman Stadium about a mile to the west, just before the I-435 interchange.
The change is part of the addition of a third lane in both directions on I-70 at I-435. The eastbound I-70 at Blue Ridge Cutoff exit, which is one of the main entrances to the Royals game, is now accessed from a new collector ramp system on eastbound I-70 that also feeds traffic from I-435 ramps to eastbound I-70 and to the stadium.
These major changes will affect Royals fans heading for Friday afternoon's home opener against the Cleveland Indians. The ramp entrance from eastbound I-70 to Blue Ridge Cutoff will now begin just beneath the I-435 interchange. It will feed into a collector ramp system that also will carry traffic from southbound and northbound I-435 heading to eastbound I-70 and to Blue Ridge Cutoff.
