A Splashing Tradition
In 1985, just a few miles outside Columbia, Jack Daughtery knew he what he wanted...he wanted to build a home and a lake for his family to enjoy.
In 2008, a national waterskiing champion was crowned in the family.
"Growing up we traveled to waterski tournaments on the weekends, the whole family" said Jack's daughter Erin Daugherty. "You go to touraments together, you spend the weekends together, you practice at home together, it's a great family sport."
For Jack Daughtery, family's where it all starts and for a family filled with skiing sensations, Sundance Lake spells a sweet summer success.
For the first time in five years today, the Daugherty family hosted a Waterskiing Tournament on Lake Sundance.
