Alzheimer's Association Dedicates Garden of Hope
COLUMBIA - The Alzheimer's Association dedicated a Garden of Hope Wednesday. The garden is at the Alzheimer's Disease Education Center. Supporters can buy bricks and decorations for the garden.
Ashley Burden is with the Alzheimer's Association and she said the bricks honor and memorialize not only those suffering with the disease, but also family members and volunteers. Burden added the garden will hopefully expand to include a pathway paved with the memorial bricks.
All of the proceeds go to help pay for care of Alzheimer's patients to give regular caregivers a break.
The dedication ceremony followed the candlelight vigil.
