Audrain County Road to Close
HANNIBAL - Weather permitting, Route Y south of Middle Grove will be closed to traffic to replace the Reese Fork Bridge Monday, September 12. The bridge replacement should take approximately 45 working days, based on the current schedule. The new bridge on Route Y will be four-foot wider and will open to traffic in late October, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
Road closure signs will be in place notifying motorists of the work. Alternate routes of travel are available over Routes NN, P, US 63 and MO 22. Some areas of the road will remain open to residential traffic only; all other traffic must take alternate routes during this time.
The 54-year-old bridge is one of seven bridges to be worked on in Audrain County this year. Other bridges currently closed for repair or replacement includes Route E at Young's Creek and Route FF at Davis Creek. In October, Route B at the Branch of Lick Creek will also close for replacement.
