ROMBAUER, Mo. (AP) - Authorities in southeast Missouri are searching for a gunman who broke into a rural home and shot a husband and wife, then drove away with their truck.
KFVS-TV reports that the shooting happened around 3 a.m. Friday in rural Butler County, near Rombauer.
Authorities say the suspect broke into the home, held the couple at gunpoint, then shot both after a struggle. The victims were flown to a hospital. Their names and details about their condition have not been released.
Butler County authorities say the suspect stole the couple's truck, a red 1998 Dodge Dakota, and may be driving it. He is considered dangerous and is likely armed.
