MORGAN COUNTY — The Morgan County Sheriff's Office received a preliminary autopsy report from Coroner Dr. M.B. Jones in reference to Brayden Anderson, 8, Friday July 5, 2012.

The report stated that Anderson lost oxygen to his brain due to drowning, and his death was also complicated by passage of electrical current from the dock which Anderson and his 13-year-old sister were swimming around.

Several other incidences took place around the lake where people have been electrocuted. A 26-year-old female died under similar circumstances this weekend.

Morgan County officials would like to remind everyone to have their docks checked for any electrical problems. They plan to meet with Ameren, the Missouri Highway Water Division, local fire departments and other officials to formulate a safety check guideline to help educate the public about the dangers of electrical shock in the water around docks.
