Axe-wielding Fulton man taken into custody

FULTON - An axe-wielding man was taken into custody Monday night by Fulton Police Officers and Callaway County Deputies following a verbal dispute.

Per a release, Fulton Police first responded to the 200 block of East 6th Street regarding a verbal dispute in which Daniel Nash, 44, threatened physical harm with an axe. 

Nash allegedly fled from officers and barricaded himself in the house, where authorities took him into custody without further incident.

No one was injured during this investigation.  Nash was taken to the Callaway County Jail for unlawful use of a weapon and felony resisting arrest.  He was given a no bond for both charges.
