Battle High Names Football Coach, Asst. Principal

COLUMBIA - Columbia Public Schools announced Rock Bridge Asst. Football Coach Justin Conyers as the new head coach at Battle High School.

Hickman Asst. Principal Andrew McCarthy will become a new Asst. Principal at Battle High School as well. Hickman High School Counselor Leigh Spence will also become Director of Guidance at Battle High.

Rock Bridge Associate Band Director Robert Thalhuber will become the new band director, Lange Middle School Vocal Music Educator Jazz Rucker becomes the new Choral Director, and Oakland Junior High Media Specialist Jayme Pingrey will become the new media specialist at Battle High School.

Total, six positions were announced at Battle Friday. CPS says Battle plans on announcing an Athletic Director plus boys' and girls' basketball coaches in the near future.
