Beating the heat with temperatures on the rise
COLUMBIA - Temperatures are said to be on the rise across mid-Missouri Tuesday.
With warmer temperatures, experts say it's easier to become dehydrated.
To beat the heat, drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated is important. If you're outside, be sure to wear light layers.
Cooling centers are also opening around to Columbia for those who need an escape from the hot temperatures. Cooling center locations include:
- The Columbia Public Library, West Broadway
- The Salvation Army, Ash Street
- St. Francis House, Rangeline Street
Pools and water parks are some recreational places to cool down. To steer clear of heat troubles, stay inside if it's an option.
