COLUMBIA -- University of Missouri soccer Head Coach Bryan Blitz will travel to La Manga, Spain, as an assistant coach of the U-23 U.S. Women's National Team. The team will spend two weeks training and participating in the Four Nations Cup.
Blitz will assist U-23 Head Coach Randy Waldrum, head coach of the Notre Dame women's team.
"It's always an honor and a privilege to be chosen to represent your country on any stage," Blitz said, "I would like to thank Randy Waldrum and US soccer for the opportunity. I would also like to thank the University of Missouri, my staff and my players, and my family for supporting me during this wonderful experience."
The Four Nations Cup consists of the United States, Sweden, England and Norway, with each team playing each other over a two-week period. The U.S. team is scheduled to meet in Spain on Monday, Feb. 20.
The US will play Sweden on February 26, England on February 28 and Norway on March 1.
