The Volunteer Action Center is giving away two hundred Roots and Blues and Barbeque Festival tickets to individuals who could otherwise not afford them. The Blue Note donated the tickets and the center is giving them away on a first-come first-served basis. Single day tickets usually cost 13 dollars and a two-day pass costs 18 dollars. Anyone with a Boone County address, ID and proof of a household income no more than 150 percent of the poverty level can get the tickets. You can also get a free ticket by volunteering at this years festival on October first and second.
