ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Blues and winger Matt D'Agostini have agreed to a two-year contract worth $3.3 million. The deal announced on Friday gives the 24-year-old D'Agostini $1.5 million next season and $1.8 million for 2012-13.

D'Agostini became an unrestricted free agent Friday when the Blues did not offer him a qualifying offer on Monday. He was free to sign with any team, but the Blues made signing D'Agostini a priority.

Originially acquired by the Blues from Montreal in 2010 for Aaron Paalushaj, D'Agostini has set career highs in goals (21), assists (25) and points (46) in 82 games with the Blues. In a total of four season in the NHL, he has 35 goals and 71 career points.
