Blunt Health Care Home Plan
The program works by giving providers access to information, like patients medical history and prescription information. Blunt says a health care home serves patients better.
"Establishing a health care home really, in my opinion, is the best way to provide a primary health care delivery model that delivers coordinated care and focuses on wellness and prevention," said State Rep. Jeff Harris.
"But the Governor's Release today still overlooks the fundamental question facing all of us as mid-Missouri policy makers and Missouri tax-payers and that is, Who is going to be covered under the new health care plan?"
Governor Blunt hopes to support and expand health care in Missouri over the next six years. If the legislature passes the initiative, the plan would give health care centers more than $60 million.
