Blunt Visits MU Food institute
COLUMBIA - Senator Roy Blunt paid a visit to MU's Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI) Monday. The senator came to discuss Congress' agricultural appropriations for Fiscal Year 2012.
Blunt said most of the programs experienced a five percent funding cut. However, the senator announced that agricultural research funding was kept at the same level as 2011. The senator also said he was confident that both FAPRI and MU's Rural Policy Research Institute (RUPRI) have a competitive advantage.
Blunt believes being located in Columbia, the repuation of MU and the knowledgable team add to the advantages of both programs.
