Blunt Wants Ameren to Pay for Ruptured Reservoir
Governor Blunt wants Ameren UE to compensate Missourians for the Taum Sauk Reservoir failure. [
The December reservoir break washed out Johnson Shut-Ins State Park. Ameren is paying for the clean up.
But, Blunt says the company should also compensate the state for its lost resources.
Blunt suggested Ameren give the state Church Mountain, near Taum Sauk, and let the state use an old Rock Island railroad bed for a hiking and biking trail.
