ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities have identified a man found in the Mississippi River at downtown St. Louis.
The Illinois State Police are investigating the death of 65-year-old August Stark of Alhambra, Illinois. The body was recovered Thursday after a towboat captain spotted it and contacted the St. Louis Fire Department.
It was the second time this week a body had been found in the river at St. Louis. On Monday, the body of 33-year-old Jason Hayes of West Alton was pulled from the river. He had been missing for two days after his boat hit an unknown object.
