Body of Missing Mother Recovered in Waynesville Area
WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - Authorities said Friday evening they found the body of a mother who went missing in the midst of harsh flooding Tuesday.
KY3 News reports that searchers found the body of 23-year-old Jessica Lee on the Roubidoux River in downtown Waynesville. Lee had been missing since Tuesday morning when she and her son were swept away from their car during raging flood waters. Her 4-year-old son, Elijah, died in the flood waters. His body was found Tuesday.
Pulaski County authorities will release more information and specifics on the search Saturday morning.
