Boeing Reaches Pact with Machinists in St. Louis
ST. CHARLES (AP) - More than 2,000 union Machinists in suburban St. Louis will go to work tomorrow under a new labor contract with Boeing Company. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 837 approved the contract today during a meeting at the St. Charles Convention Center. The vote of 951 to 883 gives the contract a thin margin of approval. The tentative three-year deal was reached late Wednesday. The Chicago-based aerospace company says the agreement calls for nearly a ten percent average pay increase over the life of the contract.
