Boone County Farmers Market Starts Saturday
COLUMBIA - The Boone County Farmers Market starts Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. and will continue each Saturday until October. It will be located on the corner of West Boulevard and Worley Street in the parking lot of the Columbia Boone County Health Department.
Steven Sapp, the President of Boone County Farmers Market, says, "I'm excited for the farmers market."
Sapp does say he expects the crowds to be small tomorrow, but he says more people come when the season goes on. That doesn't just go for the crowds though. Sapp also says the amount of vendors that show up on the first day is considerably smaller than what they are in the middle of the summer. Overall, there are about 40 vendors in the Boone County Farmers Market.
Boone County Farmers Market is a grower owned market, meaning the seller grows his or her own products.
The Farmers Market will also be open on Wednesdays starting in Early May at Parkade Plaza for consumers who want to get their products during the week.
