Boone County Fire responds to shed fire on Highway 40 near Rocheport

BOONE COUNTY - Firefighters responded to a shed fire off of Highway 40 near Rocheport Saturday morning.

Boone County Fire Protection District officials said when they got to the scene, a group of hunters were using garden hoses to keep the fire away from the house next to it.

Gale Blomenkamp with Boone County Fire said the shed was a total loss. The house was not damaged.

Firefighters responded to the fire at about 7:45 a.m. At about 9:30 a.m., firefighters told KOMU 8 News the fire was under control.
