Boone County man pleads guilty to possession of child pornography
COLUMBIA - A Boone County man plead guilty on Monday to possession of child pornography. A task force found more than 25,000 pornographic images on 68-year-old John Littell's computer.
An investigation by the Boone County Sheriff's Department began in June 2012 after a Columbia computer business reported finding child pornography on a computer that was being repaired.
In July 2013 deputies served a search warrant on Littell's residence and seized new evidence including a new computer on which additional child pornography was found.
The Boone County Sheriff's Department Cyber Crimes Task Force is comprised of investigators from the Boone County Sheriff's Department, the University of Missouri Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
