Boonville Residents Enjoy Heritage Days Festival
BOONVILLE - Boonville is holding their 22nd annual Heritage Days Festival this weekend. The festival includes carnival rides, music, and lots of food. The events take place at Kemper Park and other areas of Downtown Boonville.
In addition to the carnival, the festival will include concerts, shows, and a parade. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday in downtown Boonville. Friday evening was capped off by a performance by Dr. Zhivegas.
Heritage Days presents an excellent opportunity for a community to come thogether.
"I came to hang out with my friends and have fun," said New Franklin resident Sandra Perkins.
Rides included many rides; including a ferris wheel and a kiddie train.
"I like the train the best" said one fairgoer. "It goes vroom, vroom."
"I like the octopus," said Perkins. "It goes up and down and shakes side to side."
Organizers of the festivals expect visitors from all over mid-Missouri. Last year the festival was voted the best in Central Missouri by Rural Missouri magazine.
