COLUMBIA - Several people showed up to support the 'Bowl for Kids' Sake' Benefit this afternoon. They laced up their bowling shoes, knocked down pins, and participated in raffles to raise money for Central Missouri's Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Big Brothers Big Sisters have raised $22,932 - more than half way to its $30,000 fundraiser goal.
"The money is spent directly on the matches that we make," said Kerrie Bloss, Program and Development Director, "so the children that we serve, we serve between five and six hundred children every year in central Missouri, and that money goes directly to the service of those children."
Big Brothers Big Sisters provides a mentoring service to children, ages 6-18, in the community.
