COLUMBIA - A man was rescued Monday from an overturned Midwest Block & Brick truck at the intersection of Stadium Boulevard and East Pointe Drive in Columbia.
The driver was making a right turn onto East Pointe Drive around 1 p.m. when the truck rolled across the street and trapped the driver inside. The truck was carrying a load of cinder blocks.
Columbia Battalion Chief James Weaver said the driver went to University Hospital for treatment.
"He went to the University as a trauma alert, and that classification is with life threatening injuries." Weaver said.
