Brown's parents plan Thursday morning news conference
CLAYTON (AP) - The parents of Michael Brown have scheduled a news conference for Thursday morning to discuss what they say is new information about a private autopsy performed on their son.
Leslie McSpadden and Michael Brown Sr. also will respond to comments made by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon earlier this week. Nixon outlined law enforcement plans for protests that could follow the grand jury's decision on whether Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson will face charges for fatally shooting Brown, who was 18 and unarmed, on Aug. 9.
The news conference will occur at about the same time Dr. Michael Baden is testifying before the grand jury. Baden performed a private autopsy at the family's request in August. The St. Louis County Medical Examiner's office and the Justice Department also performed autopsies.
