Burglary charges against MU student dropped
COLUMBIA - The Boone County Prosecutor's Office has dropped charges against a Mizzou student arrested in February 2016.
Police arrested Romell Rainey following a burglary on Tessa Way. At the time, officers said the victim caught Rainey escaping the scene, and tried to wrestle him. Police said Rainey pulled out a small pistol from his pocket and the victim let him go.
Police said Rainey has been arrested in the past for forgery, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
