WILLIAMSBURG - Two Callaway County roads remain damaged from flooding on Wednesday. County Road 1005 and County Road 1023 both need culvert replacements. Flooding damaged the culverts then completely wiped them out. A culvert is a drain or channel crossing under a road; in other words, a sewer.
Fallen trees and other debris blocked the water flow in the culverts and workers are busy replacing and repairing the roads. The roads will be closed for about a week until workers can fully repair the damages.
